Cairo's monuments, then a Nile cruise sailing from Aswan up to Luxor.

A week-long route that runs the Nile cruise leg from Aswan to Luxor rather than the more common Luxor-to-Aswan direction. Three nights in Cairo cover Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum, then a flight to Aswan opens the cruise with the Unfinished Obelisk and a boat crossing to Philae Temple. From there the ship works its way north through Kom Ombo and Edfu, using a horse-carriage ride for the approach to the Temple of Horus, before reaching Luxor for both the East and West Banks in a single day ahead of the flight back to Cairo.

Arrival in Cairo

Day 2

Giza Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, begin your exploration of ancient Egypt with a visit to the legendary Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren, and Mykerinus, along with the iconic Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum.

Day 3

Fly to Aswan & Nile Cruise Embarkation

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Aswan. For travelers who want to go deeper into Egypt's history, an optional early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel is available before the rest of the day's activities — already included in your package price. Upon arrival, meet your guide and start your Aswan tour with a visit to the Unfinished Obelisk. Continue by boat to Agilkia Island to explore Philae Temple. Later, board your luxurious Nile Cruise and enjoy dinner onboard.

Day 4

Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples

Sail along the Nile to Kom Ombo and visit the unique twin temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus. Continue cruising toward Edfu, where you will enjoy a traditional horse carriage ride to the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt.

Day 5

Luxor East & West Bank Tours

Arrive in Luxor and begin your exploration with the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, the largest religious site ever built in ancient Egypt. Continue to Luxor Temple. After lunch, cross to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Entrance to the tombs of Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, and Seti I requires an additional ticket.
