8 Days Egypt Trip Package: Cairo, Aswan & Nile Cruise

Your journey begins as soon as you land at Cairo International Airport. A representative will meet you right at the arrival hall to help with the formalities. From there, we’ll take you by private, air-conditioned vehicle straight to your hotel in the heart of the city. Once you’re checked in, the rest of the day is yours. Feel free to relax, shake off the jet lag, and get ready for the incredible week ahead.

After breakfast, we’ll dive right into the history. Accompanied by an expert Egyptologist, we’ll head to the Giza Plateau to see the legendary Pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure. You’ll also get to stand face-to-face with the Great Sphinx.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll visit the brand-new Grand Egyptian Museum. It’s an architectural marvel and holds a staggering collection of artifacts that really bring the ancient world to life—easily one of the highlights of the trip.

We’ll have an early breakfast before catching a short flight south to Aswan. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the stunning Philae Temple, located on its own island, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. Afterward, we’ll visit the Unfinished Obelisk to see how the ancient Egyptians carved these massive monuments directly from the bedrock. You’ll spend the night in Aswan, enjoying the quiet, calming rhythm of the Nile.

This morning is set aside for an optional excursion to Abu Simbel, already included in your package price. Travelling by coach across the desert, we'll arrive at the massive, cliff-carved temples of Ramses II and his queen, Nefertari. Seeing these in person is a bucket-list experience—the sheer scale and artistry are truly breathtaking. If you'd rather skip the early start, you're welcome to relax in Aswan instead. We'll be back in time for a relaxing evening.

Today is all about enjoying the Nile. After breakfast on board, we’ll dock at Kom Ombo to visit the unique dual temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Back on the ship for lunch, we’ll sail on to Edfu to explore the Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the country. Spend the rest of the evening relaxing on deck as we sail toward Luxor.

Today we explore the "City of the Dead" on Luxor’s West Bank. We’ll start at the Valley of the Kings, where you can walk through the intricate tombs of the pharaohs. Next, we’ll visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut—a stunning structure built right into the limestone cliffs—and make a quick stop at the famous Colossi of Memnon. After a busy morning, you’ll have a peaceful afternoon back on the ship to enjoy tea and the river views.

We’ll spend our final morning in Luxor exploring the incredible East Bank. First is the Karnak Temple complex, famous for its massive forest of columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall. Then, we’ll head over to Luxor Temple, which is especially beautiful as the afternoon light changes. Finally, we’ll head to the airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you’ll check into your hotel for one last night.

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel and take some time to soak in the city atmosphere before your departure. When you’re ready, we’ll provide a private transfer to the airport for your flight home. We hope you leave with some incredible memories!
