Everything Luxor is famous for, in a single day

This is Luxor's greatest-hits tour, designed for visitors who only have one day in the city but want to see everything it's known for. You'll begin on the East Bank at Karnak Temple, walking through the ram-headed sphinx avenue and the towering columns of the Great Hypostyle Hall, before continuing to Luxor Temple in the city center.

After a break for lunch (own expense, with recommendations from your guide), you'll cross to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, descending into a rotation of beautifully decorated royal tombs. From there you'll visit Hatshepsut's cliffside mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahari, and finish at the Colossi of Memnon before returning to your hotel or cruise ship.

Because this tour covers a lot of ground, it's best suited to travelers comfortable with a fuller day of walking and sightseeing; your guide will pace the day sensibly and build in shade breaks where possible.
