Questo itinerario alterna due ritmi molto diversi: alcuni giorni intensi di visite al Cairo, seguiti da un tratto più lento, scandito dal fiume, nell'Alto Egitto. Si parte dall'altopiano di Giza, di fronte a monumenti che resistono da oltre quattromila anni, per poi entrare nel Grande Museo Egizio prima di salire a bordo di una crociera sul Nilo a cinque stelle. Dal ponte della nave si susseguono i templi di Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak e Luxor, insieme alle tombe reali della Valle dei Re e al tempio dell'isola di File ad Assuan. Un volo interno in ciascuna direzione riduce al minimo i tempi di trasferimento tra il Cairo e l'Alto Egitto, lasciando più spazio alla visita dei siti che agli spostamenti.
